Abstract

Mining city is a kind of city rising or developing based on the exploitation of mineral resources, plays an important role in the social development. The author, after investigation and analysis, classifies the mining cities into 9 cities and 21 towns in Hebei Province. This paper describes the types of the mining cities in detail, summarizes its characteristics and discusses the contribution of the mining cities to the local economics and social construction.
