An Analysis of the Cause of "Numeral + Quantifier + Adjective" of Modern Chinese

Abstract

The establishment and development reason of numeral + quantifier + is discussed including the quantity of adjectives,the concision acquirement,and the rhetoric of language.It is concluded that the quantity of adjective is the basic reason for the construction to exist.The motivation of the development of the construction is the requirement of concision,and the construction also fulfills the need of language rhetoric.
