Abstract

Objective To explore the risk factors of progressive cerebral infarction(PCI) and to provide bases for its prevention. Methods 24 factors of clinical data in 91 PCI patients and 170 SCI(steady cerebral infarction) patients were first compared by single factor analysis.Their affected degree was determined by multiple Logistic regression analysis. Results Compared to SCI group, the proportions of diabetes history, inappropriate antihypertensive therapy at early stage, the levels of temperature and Leukocyte and C-reaction protein and fasting glucose on admission, signs of early cerebral infarction on CT,infarction site in body of lateral ventricle were significantly higher in PCI group(all P0.05).The multivariable Logistic regression analysis showed that the important PCI risk factors were inappropriate antihypertensive therapy at early stage, the increasings of Leukocyte and C-reaction protein and fasting glucose on admission, signs of early cerebral infarction on CT,infarction site in body of lateral ventricle. Conclusion The main risk factors of PCI are inappropriate antihypertensive therapy at early stage,Leukocyte increasing, high C-reaction protein, high fasting glucose, signs of early cerebral infarction on CT,infarction site in body of lateral ventricle.
