Study of correlation of flow-mediated dilation of the brachial artery with hypertension

Abstract
Objective The aim is to compare vascular endothelial function between patients with hypertension and healthy people by flow mediated dilatation (FMD).Methods According to celermajer method of vascular ultrasound scans, flow mediated dilatation was observed in 60 patients with hypertension and 55 healthy people.Results The FMD of patients with hypertension was significantly decreased compared with that of healthy people.Conclusion There was endothelial dysfunction in patients with hypertension.
