Abstract
At the beginning of 20th century, on the basis of introducing the fruits of the science of criminal procedure law of the West, and the improvement of Chinese traditional judicial system and science of code, the science of criminal procedure law came into being in modern China. At the same time, the education of criminal procedure law in modern China was being conducted. Important Discussion on Criminal Procedure Law by Xia Qin, General Rules of Criminal Procedure Law by Chen Jinkun, and Tracing to the Source of Chinese Criminal Law by Xu Zhaoyang are the works which have played important roles in shaping the criminal procedure law of modern China. Most of the scholars in this field were educated in Japan, so puerile and tender signs are shown in the depth of theory and research methodology.
