Abstract

Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of the color Doppler ultrasonography on detecting lower limb vascular lesion in type-2 diabetes. Methods:The vascular morphology,intima-media thickness (IMT),plaques, lumen stenosis or occlusion and the changes of haemodynamics were compared between the study group(84 cases with type-2 diabetes) and control group(65 cases of non diabetes). Results:The occurrence rates of plaques, stenosis and occlusion in the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P0.05).And the plaques most often occurred on femoral artery, stenosis and occlusion more involved dorsalis pedis artery and anterior tibial artery in the distant end below popliteal artery. Conclusion:The color Doppler ultrasonography shows great clinical significance in early diagnosis, prevention and treatment of lower limb vascular lesions in type-2 diabetes.
