Abstract

Test of the salicylic acid(SA) on carnation(Dianthus caryophyllus) flower vase lifespan was conducted. The results show that tree preservatives all could increase fresh weight and diameter of folwes, improve water balance, delay degradation of soluble protein, prolong vase life of cut carnation flower, the best treament was 2% S+200 mg/L 8-HQ+50 mg/L Al2(SO4)3+20 mg/L SA.
