Abstract
A trial was conducted to examine the effects of different culture medium on the growth of cutting flower lily, the oriental hybrid lily siberia. The result showed that, among 28 kinds of culture medium, perlite, vermiculite, turfy soil mixed perlite(1∶1) and turfy soil mixed vermiculite(1∶1) were suitable to cutting flower culture. Turfy soil, organic soil, perlite , vermiculite, turfy soil mixed vermiculite (1∶1), turfy soil mixed perlite (1∶1), perlite mixed vermiculite (1∶1) and sand mixed turfy soil (1∶1 or 1∶2) were suitable to bulb development. The pH and porosity of culture medium were two important factors for lily growth. The optimum pH was about 5.4. The porous mediums should be selected.
