Abstract

Objective: To study the effects of extracts of ginkgo biloba being aginst hepatic fibrosis,on Renin-Angiotensin System. Methods: The experimental hepatic fibrosis was induced by subcutaneous injection of 40%carbon tetrachloride,GbE was administrated to the trestment group for 6 weeks.the Essentiale suspl to the control group. At the end of sixth weeks,to determine the serum levels of hyaluronic acid(HA),Laminin(LN) and plasm AngiotensionⅡ(Ang-Ⅱ).to evaluate serum ALT,AST and ALP,to observe the histopathological changes in the liver and to observe hepatic AT1RmRNA andα-SMA protein expression levels. Results: In the GbE group, the histopathological observation showed increasedly liver inflammation and hepatic fibrosis.the elevations of serum ALT,AST,ALP,HA,LN and plasma Ang-Ⅱ were lower than that in the model group(P0.05,P0.01),meanwhile,the levels of AT1RmRNA andα-SMA were decreased(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion: GbE mitigated remarkably hepatic cell inflammation and liver fibrosis,GbE depressed obviously the plasma Ang-Ⅱ,the gene expression of AT1R,which may be one possible mechanism of GbE angist hepatic fibrosis.
