Abstract
The Chinese Traditional Culture is the crystallization of Chinese history and the great inheritance bequeathed by the earlier generations. The thought, values and behavior norms contained in the traditional culture and handed down from generation to generation exert a shaping influence, with or without their awareness on Contemporary college students. Analysis is made on the characterization of the traditional culture and on its dual influence on the college education. Proposal is made them to promote the quality education and enhance the contemporary college students with better qualities by taking advantage of the positive element of the traditional culture and descending its negative ones.
