Introduction to Master Qian Zhonglian’s Academic and Writing Achievements

Qian Zhonglian is a contemporary great master in Chinese classics and his achievements in academy and creation are worthy of recognition. In the academy, he has made notes and emendations on various kinds of classical literature, edited A Chronicle of the Poetry of Qing Dynasty, selected all kinds of verses and elaborated on Qing poems, in which he displayed his poetic theory. In the creation, he has written traditional poems and rhythmical proses in classical Chinese. The characteristic of his scholarly research is “to let speciality guide wide learning, and wide learning assist speciality.” And his poetic deposition, independent character and noble spirit are greatly worthy of esteem.
