Expressions of MMP_3 and MMP_8 in Paraquat-induced Murine Pulmonary Fibrosis Model

Objective To investigate the expression of MMP3 and MMP8 in paraquat-induced pulmonary fibrosis in rats.Methods Forty SD rats(random sex) were randomly divided into negative control group(NS group,n =20) and pulmonary fibrosis model group(PQ group,n =20).Rats in pulmonary fibrosis model group were intraperitoneal injected with PQ of 15.0 mg/kg.Rats of other group were intraperitoneal injected with the same dose of saline.Animals in the two groups were sacrificed on day 5 and day 28.The lung were stained by HE.The expressions of MMP3 and MMP8 in lungs were observed by immunohistochemistry.Results The pulmonary inflammation in pulmonary fibrosis model group was significantly serious than that of control group,pulmonary fibrosis in PQ was also significantly serious than that of control group.Expression cystourethrography:a small quantity of MMP3 and MMP8 were measured in normal lung,and the expression increased significantly after administration of paraquat(P 0.05).Different expressions of MMP3 and MMP8 in different days after paraquat administration were observed.Conclusion The expressions of MMP3 and MMP8 in different days after paraquat administration were different.The expressions of MMP3 and MMP8 were significantly serious in the lung of pulmonary fibrosis model group.
