Abstract
In this paper, the microwave-regeneration of powdered activated carbon which adsorbs COD from wastewater of Qilu pharmaceutical factory, was studied under different microwave conditions.Through single factor tests, the influence of microwave power and irradiation time on the regeneration attrition ratio, the function recovery ratio and synthesis restoration ratio of powdered activated carbon was studied with the index of iodine adsorption value. The rules and causes are analyzed based on features of experimental curves.Experimental results showed that the ratio of recovery function of the activated carbon has a maximum value of 99.7%at 648 W of microwave power and 180 s of irradiation time, the optimum synthesis restoration ratio is 96.8%at 464 W of microwave power and 180 s of irradiation time.
