Abstract
Both Mencius' theory of original good of human nature and Xunzi's theory of original evil of human nature take Confucius' theory of human nature as source of their thought.Their differences mainly lie in that their conceptual connotation of human nature are different. As faithful representatives of Confucianism, they are same in pursuing the highest goal of their theory of human nature, namely good. The opposition of Mencius's theory of original good of human nature and Xunzi's theory of original evil of human nature merely is the superficial phenomenon, but is not the essence. In fact,by one kind of rational tensility, they make up of dual wings of Confucianist theory of human nature together.
