DISCUSSION ON CHINA'S NATURAL GAS INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY ORIENTATION AT A NEW ERA

Through qualitative analysis on the rapid development of China's natural gas industry since 2000 and the correlation of gas development situation between China and foreign countries,this paper points out that China's gas industry development strategy will be oriented by strong inducing drives,i.e.new features have been obviously seen from the fast developing period of China's gas industry,such as the foreign gas(including pipeline gas and LNG) imported in great amount,gas network came into being all over the country,the structure of territorial gas market formed to some degree,and so on.From the case of study,it suggests that natural gas,as a transitional energy from fossil to clean energy in China,should be encouraged to develop in the future as a green and efficient energy to help protect the environment at a new era in China.In China's future gas industry,highlights should be positioned as follows: bringing up gas market in China,guaranteeing gas security,building gas finance market,and regulating domestic gas industry in a more complete way.
