Abstract
A total of 1080 9- week- old white- plumage mule ducks were randomly divided into six groups( T1~ T6),these ducks were restrictedly fed by six different ways till they were 21 weeks old,and the influences of different restricted feeding ways on their growth performance and egg- laying performance were studied. The results indicated that the average body weight of 21- week- old ducks in group T2 was the highest( 2. 86 kg),followed by that in group T1( 2. 80 kg),but there was no significant difference in average body weight between group T2 and group T1. In the whole period,the growth curve of ducks in group T1 was more equilibrious than that in other groups,while the growth curve of ducks in group T6 seriously deviated from that in other groups. The ducks in group T1 laid earliest. The 300- day- old ducks in group T1 had the highest average egg production( 98. 78 egg / duck),while in group T6 had the lowest average egg production( 79. 27 egg / duck). The duration of egg- laying peak period of ducks in group T1 was also longer than that in other groups. The feed cost in group T6 was the lowest,while that in group T1 was the highest. The economic benefits of ducks production in group T1 was the highest.
