Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of liver cirrhosis using MR-diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI).Methods MR-DWI was performed on 100 cirrhotic patients(cirrhotic group) and 30 healthy controls(control group) using GE HDx 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner when b value was 800 mm2/s,and the value of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) in each group was measured and compared.Results The ADC value of the control group was(1.842±0.173) ×10-3 mm2/s,higher than that of the cirrhotic group,which was(1.380±0.137) ×10-3 mm2/s,and the difference between them was significant.Conclusions The ADC value of cirrhotic patients decreases.MR-DWI may be a promising method for noninvasive diagnosis of liver cirrhosis.
