Abstract

Current situation of grassland degradation and its mechanism in the upstream of Yellow River in Gansu was analyzed.The results showed that the fragile ecological environment,global climate change,over-grazing, rodent,incomplete management system were the main reasons for grassland degradation;the interaction of these factors even strengthened deterioration.
