A Brief Talk on the Trends & Main Problems in the Field of Political Science in China in the First Decade of the New Century

Substantial academic fruits have been achieved in contemporary Chinese political science in the last two decades in the 20th century though there is still much to be improved. In the first decade of the new century and guided by Marxism, the further advance of political science in China lies in strengthening the construction of the basic theories to serve the socialist construction of politics with Chinese style, followed by the further research on the verified policies concerning the combination of the theory with practice in some important areas in practical life so that a new and promoted situation will be brought into being in the field of political science in China.
