Abstract
Based on the composition and structural characteristics of the floor and roof rock strata in 1304 working face in a mine,composition and structural properties of the 1304 coal face in a coal mine,an engineering geological model that can reflect the composition of the complete roof strata was established,analysis was made on the roof stress and the distribution characteristics of the plastic zone by FLAC3D numerical simulation in the mining process of the coal seam,and 64m roof fall height of the coal seam being mined was obtained.Combined with the results obtained by analogy method,it came to the conclusion that the roof fall height of 1304 working face was 34.6~77.5m.
