Abstract
As a newly-developed linguistic theory,Nuerocognitive Linguistics studies the relationship between human language and human brain.This paper gives a brief introduction to the origin and the theoretical principles of Neurocognitive Linguistics established by Sydney Lamb.Then it points out the development and the divergence of this theory among foreign researchers.The paper also makes a comment on Prof Cheng Qilong's cognitive functional model based on Nuerocognitive Linguistics.
