Abstract
This paper discussed the content and morphological distribution of heavy metals in sewage sludge, and analyzed the influence of composting treatment on the morphological transformation of heavy metals in sewage sludge.According to the research results published,it was put forward that the composting treatment can decrease the activity of some heavy metals, such as Zn,Cu,Pb and Mn,in sewage sludge.Consequently, the environmental risk of these heavy metals in land application of sewage sludge can be reduced by composting treatment.
