A study on the essence of education based on the retrospective thought of methodology

In its seeking for legality in the historical course,the educational science has been alienated.The study of educational essence in fact exists as a tool for construction of the theory of edueation.Where is the way for the essence of education in terms of methodology? By means of examining the essence of education,and making an analysis and comparison,a retrospective thought was made on the problems about essence of edncation.The new educational essence is faced with new option of value orientation.For the essentialists,the object of study is to overcome the existing problems,while for the anti-essentialists,the object of study is to make rational criticism,following from pluralism to the mode of regression.This is an inevitable trend in the study of essence of education in the future.
