Abstract
【OBJECTIVE】A novel method was established for determining cinnamic acid, caffeic acid, p- coumaric acid and ferulic acid in propolis【.METHOD】HPLC method has been applied to determine cinnamic acid, caffeic acid, p- coumaric acid and ferulic acid in propolis【.RESULTS】The separation was performed on Zorbax SB- C18 (150mm×4.6mm, 5μm) by gradient elution , The mobile phase consisted of methol- 0.1%formic acid as a flow phase. The flow rate was 1.0ml/min. The detector was set at 280nm and UV spectra were recorded from 190nm to 400nm. The column temperature was 30℃. Four kinds of phenolic acids were separated satisfactorily. 【CONCLUTION】This study can provide a scientific method for the quality control and evaluating bioactivity in propolis.
