Antennal Sensilla of Bradysia sp.Observed under Scanning Electron Microscopy

Antennal morphology and sensilla of Bradysia sp. were observed under scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the antenna is made up of three parts: scape,pedicel and a 14 segmented flagella. The length of the total antenna is 0. 831. 14 mm,while the entire length of flagella is 0. 991. 00 mm. Nine types of sensillum were observed on the antennae; sensilla trichodea,sensilla chaetica,sensilla basiconicum,sensilla auricillica,sensillum coeloconica,sensilla margin,sensilla cylindric,sensilla mammilliformia,bohm bristles. The type and quantity of the sensilla trichodea are the most abundant among the nine sensillum.
