Experience on Traumatic Epilepsy Induced by Intracerebral Hematoma after Brain Injury

Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics and etiology of traumatic epilepsy induced by intracerebral hematoma.Methods The clinical materials of 426 cases of such patient were analyzed in its characteristics and etiology.Results The episode of epilepsy was related with the location of injury and so on and it related with the injury and hematoma in early stage.It related with softening of brain lesion in late stage.Conclusion The early epilepsy might be caused by the cell exciting in involved location due to injury and hematoma.The late epilepsy might be related with brain softening and scar formation.The treatment should be depended different stages and reasons.
