Abstract

In this paper, the toxicity effects of Beta-cypermethin on scenedesmus obliquus was studied. Results showed that the growth of algae decreased with the increase of Beta-cypermethrin mass concentration and the 24h,48h,72h and 96h-EC50 of Beta-cypermethrin on scenedesmus obliquus was 11.71mg/L,6.19mg/L,4.03mg/L,2.87mg/L respectively. The growth was almost completely inhibited when Beta-cypermethrin mass concentration was higher than 10mg/l.Meanwhile,the contents of the pigments, soluble protein were examined, the total content of pigment, soluble protein and the ratio between chlorophyll a and b declined as Beta-cypermethrin concentration increased.Data indicated that Ch-a was the most affected pigment.
