Abstract

In the 1940s,there existed a contradiction of thought in Shen Cong-wen's essays.During that time,he was experiencing a change from Little Me to Big Me,the contradiction between reality and dreams forced him to pursue a breakthrough in his spirit and culture.He felt that,compared with against nature,live life had more metaphysical idealism.The absurdity between nature and human beings let him realize the social ugliness,which made him strongly pursue the aesthetic realm of lyrical Abstraction.
