Abstract

This paper analyzes the process of building a Web GIS on the J2EE platform and implements a Web GIS system(DC-GIS) by Guangdong disease control center. The paper also demonstrates how to build a map service library with middleware MapXtreme Java for the DC-GIS.This library could be easily reused and extended for future GIS systems, especially in the field of disease data visualization.
