Abstract
The dynamic behavior of the curved girder bridge was studied in this paper. The dynamic control equations of curved girder bridges were deduced by using the General Coordinate Method and Energy Theory;and the similarities and differences between the vibration of curved-girder bridges and straight girder bridges were obtained from their dynamic control equations. Then the explicit mass matrix of the curved girder bridge was deduced by using Hamilton Theory.During the deduction the non-coincidence of the section's torsional center and the gravity center are taken into account.Furthermore the dynamic finite element method of the curved girder bridges was developed.Based on the dynamic theory of curved girder bridges, the dynamic analysis software was compiled and the dynamic theory and computational method are verified by a real example curved-girder bridge.
