Abstract

Shang Shu has been regarded as one of the classical books of Chinese traditional culture. Lu Xun, who was deeply influenced by Chinese classical literature, was inevitably linked with Shang Shu,directly and indirectly. First, in the article Outline of Chinese Literature History, Lu Xun did a objective research and gave a brief introduction of Shang Shu from the perspective of literature history; Second, from his profound knowledge of traditional culture and history, Lu Xun gained the resource of his literary creation. As one of the Six Confucian Classics , Shang Shu was naturally quoted by Lu Xun in many of his writings. Third, as a cultural classic, Shang Shu also contains some chaste literary concepts. For example, its concept of Poem expresses one's Thoughts and Emotions which deeply influenced the formation and development of Chinese literary theory, was strongly recommended by Lu Xun.
