Abstract
Objective To evaluate the validity and safety of propess for cervical ripening. Methods 180 single term pregnant women without any vaginal delivery taboo were randomly divided into two group,80 cases in propess group,40 cases in oxytocin group. The Bishop score of cervical, the time to labor starting, delivery method, postpartum hemorrhage rate and neonate condition were compared. Results Bishop score in study group were 5.9±1.1 and 7.0±1.5,which were higher than 4.0±1.3 和 4.0±1.4 in the control group. The time to labor starting was shortened obviously in study group than that in control group. Conclusion Propess is effective in producing cervical ripening.
