Clinical Effect and Safety of Diltiazem Hydrochiorde Controlled-release Capsule in Unstable Angina

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect and safety of diltiazem in the patients with unstable angina(UA). Methods We divided 91 patients with UA into two groups:diltiazem group(46 patients)and control group(45patients). The normal anti-angina treatment was given to both control group and diltiazem group,and diltiazem 180mg orally per day for one week was added to the diltiazem group. The symptom,electrocardiogram,heart rate,blood pressure and adverse effect were observed in two groups. Results The clinical total effective rate was higher in the diltiazem group than that of the control group(P0.05). There was no obvious difference in blood pressure between the two groups(P0.05). The heart rate of the diltiazem group was lower than that of the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Diltiazem is safe and effective to the patients with UA.
