Epidemiological study on lipid level and its abnormal rate of Wenzhou community population

Objective To study the lipid level and its abnormal rate of Wenzhou community populations,and then to probe risk factors to make some prevention measures.Methods With the cluster random sampling,7 194 residents over 35 years old of ten community inWenzhouwere selected to carry on investigationwith questionnaire survey, physical examination and lab tests.Fasting plasma levels of total cholestero1(TC),triglyceride(TG) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDLC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDLC) were determined.Results The main level of HDLC,LDLC,TG and TC was(1.68±0.79)mmol/L,(2.74±0.80)mmol/L,(1.82±1.21)mmol/L and(5.21±1.14)mmol/L,respectively;and the prevalence rate of low blood HDLC,high LDLC,hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia was 10.1%,21.3%,41.5% and 48.1%,respectively.Conclusions Dyslipidemia has become one of important risk factors threatening health ofWenzhou people,and hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia are two major types among people over 35 years old.It is very important to pay more attention to earlier comprehensive prevention and control of dyslipidemia.
