Abstract

Two flavanones have been isolated from the bark of Choerospondias axillaris (Roxb.) Burtt et Hill. One of them was shown to be identical with naringenin; the other one is a new compound named choerospondin, its structure was found to be 5,7-(tihydroxy flavanone-4'-β-D-glucoside by spectroscopic analysis.
