Thoughts on the correct evaluation of cadres' administrative and political achievements

Cadres' administrative and political achievements are not only the comprehensive reflections of cadres' political quality, ideological style, leading ability and level of leadership, but also an important principle for identifying and proper uses of cadres. In reality, however, the nature of cadres' administrative and political achievements has been distorted due to some misinterpretations. The achievements have been turned into tools for some cadres to obtain political capital or economical benefits, making it necessary to rectify the connotation of cadres' administrative and political achievements. Thoughts on the correct evaluation of the achievements are presented, which cover several aspects such as defining the connotation of cadres' administrative and political achievements, forging a correct evaluation system, bringing into effect the working system of masses' evaluation of cadres' administrative achievements, optimizing the mechanism for well-founded selection of cadres, and establishing punitive mechanism for abusing power, failure of carrying cadres' responsibility or other violations.
