Abstract
In late of May and August 2005, ant was collected by trapping and sample plotting in five habitats in Shangqiu Forest Park, Henan Province, including forest, bush, glass land, orchard and human habitation. All 7680 ants from the five habitats,7680 ants of 21 species belonged to 17 genera and 6 subfamilies were discovered. The dominant species were Tetramorium caespitum (L.) and Pachycondyla chinensis (Emery). The highest diversity index was found in the forest, and the lowest in human habitation. All habitats were similarity, with similarity indices of all communities between 0.4706 and 0.8000. The results showed that ant diversity was affected by environmental factors, and significant differences occurred among ant communities created by human disturbance.
