Abstract
Treatment of landfill leachate in pilot-scale by Fenton process was tested, in which oxidation process was carried out in continuous stirred tank reactor. The test results show that with a fixed molar ratio of hydrogen peroxide to ferrous ion of 3.0, COD removal efficiency increases with the increase of hydrogen peroxide dosage, but is independent of the proportion of hydrogen peroxide dosage to two oxidation tanks. When total dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 0.1 mol/L, COD removal efficiency is 67.5%. The result may be used in treatment of later period leachate from other landfills.
