Resource investigation and landscape application of wild ornamental plants in Liangyeshan Mountain Natural Reserve

Based on the investigation of the wild ornamental plants in Liangyeshan Mountain Natural Reserve,370 species belonging to 260 genera,93 families were selected out because of their ornamental value so as to enrich the garden plant species and improve development and utilization of the rural wild ornamental plant resources.According to the life forms of the plants,they were classified into 4 types,namely 78 arbor plants,133 shrub plants,152 herbal plants,and 7 liana plants.With the psychophysical methods,the ornamental characteristics of the selected plants were evaluated and the various forms of garden applications were sorted out.The plants can also be classified into 5 types according to their application forms in landscape,such as potted flowers,flowerbed,ground cover,vertical greening and ornamental trees.In addition,suggestions on the conservation and development of the usage were proposed.
