Abstract

The virtual assembly in virtual environment is discussed. Combined with the speciality of virtual assembly, the virtual assembly feature is proposed based on the analysis of the concept of assembly feature. The virtual assembly feature not only describes the constraint relationship between parts but also describes the tolerance. The algorithm of assembly process planning is put forward considering the effect of tolerance to the assembly process plan and the product assemblability.
