An Overall Assessment of China’s Interest in Africa

With collective rise of newly-emerging States as a grand international background,the relations play an critical role in China's foreign relations.At present China’s interests in Africa include at least four aspects,political,security,economic and soft power construction.However,these areas of interest enjoyed great development in recent years,and meanwhile they face severe challenges.Adhered to the strategy of China-Africa Cooperation,Chinese interests in Africa also need maintenance from multi-dimensions.It is necessary to shows that China's military presence in Africa through participation in peacekeeping operations in Africa undertaken by the United Nations and regional organization in Africa like the African Union.The actions aforementioned will uphold China's voice in the international political affairs,and enhance China's political and military support for Africa to engage in economic cooperation,strengthen China’s state image among African people as a State of peace-loving,justice and fairness.All these will further strengthen the international image of China as a responsible power,and promote the course of achieving peace and security building of African States at the plane of field practice.
