Research on Storm Surge Tropical Cyclone Caused by Typhoon and its Forecast on East Guangdong's Littoral

The tropical cyclone surge disasters have heavy influence on the littoral of Guangdong,especially on east Guangdong.Because of the particular coastal landform,the tropical cyclone surge disasters occur frequently and have brought on huge loss in life and property there.Based on the analyses of the statistics from 1979-2006 of the surge of tropical cyclone and storm tide,this paper analyses and researches the relation between the surge at east Guangdong and the relevant factors leading to the tropical cyclone such as the landing location,path,intensity,tide etc.Finally,this paper gives an introduction to the forecast of the surge in east Guangdong.
