Abstract
It showed unique form and distribution pattern in the growth of Qinghai grassland.Horizontal distribution was presented in north area being exclusive of Qilian Mountains.Natural grassland translated from temperate steppe to desert gradually, between the west of Huang River area lifting step by step, via the base of Qinghai lake-Gong He,and getting to Qaidam Basin. The succession occurred from meadow of Mountain forest, alpine irrigation meadow,Alpine meadow(Kobresia myosuroides),Alpine(Stipa capillata Linn) grassland in the general grass type. The distribution of natural grassland areas appeared to be discontinuous, and overlap between level and vertical distributions.
