Acupuncture treatment for cervical spondylosis:clinical analysis of 30 cases

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treatment of cervical spondylosis.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with cervical spondylosis admitted in our hospital from September 2011 to March 2012 were divided into treatment group and control group,with 60 cases in each group.Both groups were treated by stellate ganglion block,and the treatment group was given acupuncture additionally.The clinical efficacy,and the relief of symptom and signs were analyzed between two groups.Results Forty eight cases were cured and 9 cases improved in treatment group.The total effective rate of treatment group was 95.0%,higher than 83.3% in control group(P 0.05).The score of symptom and signs of treatment group were significant lower than those of control group(P 0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture treatment on the basis of stellate ganglion block is effective to cure cervical spondylosis and can significantly improve the clinical symptoms,which is worth being promoted.
