Medicinal Plant Resources and Diversity in Ruoliaoxian Mountain Nature Reserve

Based on field investigation and processing data, there are 991 species of medicinal plants belonging to 572 genera and 17 families in Ruoliaoxian Mountain Nature Reserve, which accounted for 56. 6%, 72. 9% and 91.4% of the total species, genera and families of plant resources there. There are 9 species of national endangered medicinal plants, which accounted for 5. 36% of the endangered medicinal plants in China. The medicinal plants of whole plant, roots and rhizomes used for medicinal materials accounted for 38. 85% and 34.11% of the total number of medicinal plants, respectively;diaphoretic, dispel rheumatic and blood active medicinal accounted for 41. 98%,16. 35% and 11. 00% respectively. 43. 76% of genera belong to temperate elements, and 40. 10% of genera belong to tropical ones. Dominant families are mainly Rosaceae, Leguminosae, Labiatae, Compositae and Polygonaceae.
