Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of Doppler umbilical artery systolic/diastolic(S/D) ratio on predicting fetal hypoxia in pregnancy.Methods: 1789 cases of women with pregnancy in 28-42 weeks were examined with color Doppler umbilical S/D ratio.188 cases in abnormal S/D ratio of≥3 as study group and 1601 cases served as control(S/D3).The outcome of all fetus were analyzed.Results: The incidence of umbilical cord around fetal neck,middle and severe hypertension,fetal hypoxia and intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR) were high significantly in the study group than that of normal group(P0.01).Conclusion: In high risk pregnancy,the fetal umbilical artery blood flow decreases.There is an obvious correlation between fetal hypoxia and abnormal umbilical artery S/D ratio.
