Abstract

Through the variation analysis of runoff and sediment transport capacity of Qiushuihe River from 1954 to 2000,the flow-sediment relationship of the river has shown a great change since 1978.The volume of transporting sediment has shown a clear decreasing tendency.The ways and level of human activities,vegetation's depredation and recover,the harnessing of soil and water evosion and the sediment retention by water conservancy engineerings were the main causes for the variation of water-sediment in Qiushuihe River.
