An Empirical Research:The Relationship between Economy Growth and Energy Source Consumption in Heilongjiang Province

The relationship between economy growth and energy source consumption in Heilongjiang province was tested through co-integration analysis,Granger causality test and error correct model by using the data of GDP and energy consumption from 1980 to 2006.The result show that there is a co-integration relation between GDP and energy consumption in Hilongjiang province.In addition,single-direction Granger causality relationship from economy growth to energy consumption is found,indicating that the economy growth in Heilongjiang province is not dependent on the energy consumption.Some countermeasures and suggestions on the economy growth and energy saving.are also proposed
