The Narrative Function of Romantic Discourse in Jin Yong's Novels

Abstract

Describing love,a discourse form in Jin Yong's novels,whose significance lies in the realization of the narrative function of the novel,narrates not only complete love stories but makes the romantic man-woman love affair an important link in the novel's cause and effect chain,delaying or pushing forward the general narrative development of the gongfu novels.In Jin Yong's novels,the integration of love and gongfu narratives in two different narrative modes forms the tension narration.
