Curative effects of the montelukast for 30 cases of infantile asthma

Abstract

BACKGROUND To observe the curative effects of the montelukast for the infantile asthma. CASE REPORTS 60 infants with light and medium asthma were randomly assigned to two groups of 30 children each. Experimental group was treated with the montelukast by oral and control group were inhaled with the budesonide. Curative effects were evaluated after following up for 3 months. There were no statistically significant differences in extinction time of gasping and recurrence rate. DISCCUSION The montelukast could be used to infant with over 6 months of asthma,especially for the light and medium asthma that the treating effects of inhalation were not so good.
